– day zero project progress of month no. 16 –
And we’re back with another Day Zero Project progress post, month number 16 this time. Winter and covid-19 aren’t exactly helping me to progress and during the holidays all you want to do is cuddle up in a blanket, right? I’ll stop making more excuses and just share whatever progress there was last month. If you’re interested in seeing the whole list, you can find my Day Zero Project 101 goals here.
17. Find a job I like
In my last blog entry about my job interview in Galicia I left you with quite a cliffhanger. Would I take the job or not? You can read all about it in the entry, but I’ll give you a short recap. I went on an interview in Vigo for a job to give tax advice. I wasn’t very excited, because I don’t see myself work in finance and I don’t particularly like Vigo. In the end, I decided not to take the job. I don’t want to be doing something that doesn’t make me happy, because I already had a job like this and it wasn’t exactly good for my mental health. So there’s not really progress on this goal (yet), but I wanted to update you anyway.
28. Add three songs to the 3/month-playlist every month [16/33]
Like every month, I added three songs to my playlist. The first two songs I listened to a lot and I really like them. Then I needed one more – it’s 3/month after all – so I added a lovely song that I didn’t hear too often yet.
45. Learn to use the drawing tablet
Okay, I’ll admit right away that I’m by no means a pro using the drawing tablet. There’s a lot to learn and many techniques in Photoshop that I have no clue about. However, I do understand how the tablet works and I have a good feeling for how to draw with the pen. I consider this goal completed, as it’s about the tablet and not about Photoshop 😉
12. Reach checkpoint 4 on Duolingo with all lessons 5/5
I’m so close! I only need to do a few more lessons to complete checkpoint 4, so in a couple of days the goal is complete. I have the goal of gaining at least 100 experience points every day, so I progress relatively quickly. Oh, and I reached my 365 day streak this week – yay!
14. Read ten children’s books in Spanish [5/10]
I read two more children’s books in Spanish. The first contained two stories: Cenicienta (Cinderella) and Cochecito. Then I also read a book called Demasiado Miel (too much honey) about Winnie the Pooh. Fun fact: it was a book that came for free with a Happy Meal.
42. Create postcard/poster designs
I decided to make my friends and family in the Netherlands Christmas cards this year, because I wasn’t going to see them over the holidays. I don’t consider the goal of creating postcard designs complete, as I created the cards based off Pinterest. They’re not my original ideas and to complete the goal I need to really make my own designs! If you want to see all the cards I made, you can go to my Instagram @blogbylinda, where I shared all seven.
